From party walls to boundary walls, CBMA provides fire‑rated systems designed for Australian projects. Achieve the FRL you need with fewer components and a faster install.
Fire‑rated wall systems are designed to achieve a specified FRL (Fire Resistance Level) expressed as structural adequacy / integrity / insulation under the NCC. Choosing the right solution depends on the build type, class of building or other design factors, such as where the wall sits and what it must do:
- Intertenancy/party/separation walls – Firezone®,
- Boundary and zero‑allotment walls – Zerobound®,
- lightweight BAL rated façades and features – Stonewood®,
- timber‑frame or modular FRL assemblies Eboard®.
All of CBMA products have been designed to assist in reducing labour, time and general costs as well as making the systems as simple as possible. Products are tested to the highest Australian standards with many of our products holding the CodeMark certification.
Which system fits my application?
- Intertenancy walls / Party walls / Separation walls → Firezone®
- Boundary walls & Zero Allotment walls → Zerobound®
- Lightweight façades / BAL rating / feature walls → Stonewood®
- Timber‑frame & Modular FRL assemblies → Eboard®

Why choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Intertenancy wall / Party wall / Separation wall / Apartments / Townhouses | Firezone® | FRL60/60/60 / RW+CTR = 50 dB (min) / Simple Install / Cost effective / Mould and weather resistant / timber or steel frames |
| Boundary walls / Zero allotment, Townhouses | Zerobound® | FRL60/60/60 & 90/90/90 / Timber or steel frames / Cost effective / Minimal components / Easy install |
| Boundary walls / Modular factory builds | Eboard® | FRL60/60/60 / Timber frames only / cost effective / minimal components / Easy install for factory automation equipment |
| BAL rated cladding / decorative finishes / Non combustible | Stonewood® | BAL rated / Decorative finishes / easy to cut drill and fix / Cost effective / <1% Crystalline Silica |
What FRL rating is common for intertenancy (party) walls?
Many residential intertenancy walls require FRL 60/60/60. Firezone® is designed to meet this requirement with a simplified installation and compliance pathway.
What’s the difference between intertenancy and boundary walls?
Do zero‑lot boundary walls require a fire rating?
How does this differ from traditional plasterboard shaftliner or masonry walls?
CBMA systems are designed to reduce components and eliminate unnecessary steps found in many conventional solutions, while maintaining compliance.
